Sautéed Fresh Green Beans
A delicious and colorful side dish of a veggie favorite with a touch of sweet DGF heat
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 1/2 White onion, chopped
- 3-4 Fresh garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
- 2 Red, orange or yellow fresh, sweet peppers (these are not bell peppers), chopped
- 1 Tbs Heaping tablespoon of DGF Candied Jalapeno Relish
- 1 Tbs Tuscany Bread Dipping Seasoning (or your favorite blend of black pepper, sea salt, rosemary, basil, oregano and parsley)
- 1 Tbs Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Using a large frying pan, (I like one with high sides to help with hot grease splattering) add olive oil and bring to medium heat. Add all other ingredients and allow to saute, cook for 5-20 minutes or until green beans have the cooked texture you like (a bit crunchy, or soft). Stir occasionally. I use a lid to hold in the heat for a quicker cook, but they will cook just as well without…albeit a bit slower. Serve hot and enjoy.
