- Dad’s Gourmet Foods Original or Habanero salsa, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
- Tortilla type: Flautas can be made with either flour or corn tortillas, while taquitos are typically made with corn tortillas. With this recipe, we are using flour street tacos, but you can use your own preference…you are the chef! Combined the relish, chicken, cheese, pimentos, oregano, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix with a large spoon.
- Spread 1.5-2 teaspoons of refried beans over a tortilla. The spoon in 1.5-2 teaspoons of the chicken filling over the beans. Roll the tortilla over the filling and seal tightly using a little dab of the refried beans. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas until you deplete the filling.
- Fill the tray of the air fryer with tortillas. Spray cooking oil coating over the top of the tortillas in the tray of the air fryer. Fry until golden brown on one side. Using tongs, flip the tortillas over, spray with cooking oil and brown the second side. Cooking times will vary with fryers, but plan 8-12 minutes per batch.
- Serve warm topped with DGF salsa, sour cream and shredded lettuce.
