Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
This recipe uses Pillsbury pizza dough, which will be rectangular shaped. You can also use frozen round pizza dough, or if you are up for a bit more work and time, use your favorite homemade pizza dough recipe to make from scratch.
When I cook pizza in our kitchen oven, I use a pizza stone to get the dough nice and crispy. If you are using a pizza stone, place it in the oven and let it preheat while the oven is coming up to 450 degrees (about 15-20 minutes).
While the pizza stone and oven are getting up to temperature, mix the country gravy per instructions in a small sauce pan and set aside. Cook and chop/cube the bacon and sausage. Chop the onion and fresh sweet peppers. Slice the mushrooms.
When you have finished prepping all the toppings, remove the pizza stone from the oven using an heat mitten or heat gloves and either place on stovetop, or potholder. Take the can of Pillsbury pizza dough from the refrigerator, open and unroll dough and place on the pizza stone being careful not to burn your fingers on the hot stone.
Spread a thin layer of the country gravy over the top of the dough to about 1/2 inch of the edges. Sprinkle the bacon, sausage followed by the olives, onion, sweet peppers and mushrooms. Add the DGF Candied Jalapeño Peppers to your preference. Cover the pizza and ingredients with both cheeses to within about a 1/2 inch of the edges.
Using a heat glove or mitten, place the pizza in the oven and cook 10-12 minutes or until the cheese melts and you see your preferred browning of both the dough and cheese. Remove stone and pizza from the oven and allow to cool until you are comfortable with handling (usually 5-10 minutes).
Cut into pieces and serve. Enjoy!
