  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Instant yeast
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 2.5-3 Cups General purpose white flour
  • 2 Tbsp Melted butter

Pillsbury Crescent Roll Option

  • 1 Tube Pillsbury Dough Sheet, Original Crescent Canned Pastry Dough, 1 Sheet, 8 oz

Stuffing Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup Dad’s Gourmet Foods Candied Jalapeño Relish
  • 2 Cups Cheddar cheese, shredded (or your favorite cheese blend)
  • 8-12 Pieces Bacon slices, cooked and chopped
  • 4 Large Eggs, scrambled
  • 5-7 Pieces Breakfast sausage links, cubed (healthier version can opt for turkey links)

Instructions

  • If making homemade dough, combine warm water, yeast, sugar in a mixing bowl and set aside for 3-5 minutes, or until yeast begins to bubble. Add oil, salt and gradually add flour until dough clings to the sides of the mixing bowl. (Note: a stand mixer works extremely well for this process.) Continue mixing 3-4 minutes, then cover bowl with towel or plastic wrap and let rest for 15 minutes in a warm room environment.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • If using the premade Pillsbury dough, remove from refrigerator and open tube.
  • Spray countertop with cooking spray and either roll the fresh dough out into a rectangular shape about 14 inche thick, or spread out the premade dough.
  • Brush dough with melted butter, then layer the scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Sprinkle DGF Candied Jalapeño Relish then Sprinkle shredded cheese, saving 1/2 cup for later.
  • Starting from one of the long sides of the rectangle, roll dough up firmly and then pinch the ends closed. Using a sharp knife, cut 1.5 inch thick slices from the long roll.
  • Set rolls on a large, greased baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes. Removed from oven and top rolls with remaining cheese and place back in oven until the cheese melts and bread begins to brown.
  • Remove from oven and serve warm. Enjoy!
